Why is RTA a paid platform?
Keeping RTA independent, rigorous, and useful takes real work — maintaining the assessment framework, developing educational resources, and continuously improving the platform. A small subscription from operators who benefit most from the tool is what allows us to keep the free tier genuinely free and invest in making the platform better for everyone.
What do I actually get for my subscription?
Beyond more tour listings, paid plans unlock the full picture: expectation vs. satisfaction gap analysis, the IPA improvement matrix, and the deeper performance insights that help you understand where to focus. You also directly support the ongoing development of RTA's educational content and assessment methodology.
Why is there a free tier at all?
Our goal is to make responsible tourism assessment as accessible as possible — especially for small independent operators who are often doing the most innovative work. The free tier lets any operator get started, complete a self-assessment, and start collecting guest feedback with no commitment.
Is the pricing the same for operators everywhere in the world?
We're aware that $49 or $99 means very different things depending on where you operate. If cost is a genuine barrier, reach out — we want to find a way to make it work.
Can I cancel or change plans?
Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. If you downgrade below your current number of active tours, existing tours remain visible but you'll need to archive some before adding new ones.
What happens to my data if I stop subscribing?
Your data — assessments, guest responses, scores — is always yours. If you move to the free tier, your history is preserved. We will never delete your data because of a plan change.
